What The Hub Offers

Group surveys

The Global Judicial Well-being Research Hub provides access to expertly developed survey instruments authored by leading researchers in the fields of law, psychology, and judicial well-being. These questionnaires are grounded in empirical research and international best practices, making them reliable tools for assessing the mental, emotional, and institutional well-being of judicial officers.

To begin, a user authorized to act on behalf of a judiciary, association, or institution must complete a verification process. This involves uploading an official letter of authorization from the relevant body. Once the user’s credentials are verified, they will gain access to create a customized survey using the selected questionnaire.

the authorized user can select from the range of validated questionnaires available on the Hub. Once a suitable questionnaire is chosen, they may initiate a study using the secure survey platform hosted by the Research Hub.

After the survey is set up, the platform will generate a unique survey link. This link should then be shared with members of the respective judiciary, association, or institution. Respondents can access the questionnaire via this link and complete it in full confidence.

To uphold the highest standards of anonymity and confidentiality, the survey platform does not collect or store IP addresses, personal identifiers, or any metadata that could trace responses back to individuals. All data is anonymized, ensuring a safe and open environment for honest participation.

Once the survey concludes—either by reaching the pre-set deadline or being manually closed by the authorized user—an automatically generated report will be made available. This report will present aggregated, non-identifiable results for use by the authorized user and their institution.

Through this secure and research-backed process, the Hub empowers judicial institutions to assess well-being across their communities and implement evidence-based strategies to support resilience, improve culture, and safeguard the integrity of the judiciary.

Self Assessment Tools

The Global Judicial Well-being Research Hub provides a selection of confidential, self-administered assessment tools to support judicial officers in reflecting on their mental health and professional well-being. These tools include the Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K10), the Secondary Traumatic Stress Scale (STSS), and the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT).

Judges may take these self-assessments privately for personal insight, or judicial institutions, judges’ associations, and court administrators may share the links within their judiciary to encourage voluntary participation and self-reflection.

Please note that these tools are not diagnostic instruments. They are intended solely for educational and awareness purposes. If a respondent experiences distress or identifies signs of a possible condition, it is strongly recommended that they seek support from a qualified healthcare professional.
